Overview
Mémoire Synthétique is an AI-powered immersive exhibition exploring the memory of Argentina’s desaparecidos — the ~30,000 people who were forcibly disappeared during the military dictatorship (1976–1983). Presented at the international CUMULUS Nantes 2025 conference, the exhibition combined AI-generated visuals, narrative storytelling, and interactive spatial design to create an emotionally resonant experience.

My role
Concept development & narrative mapping
AI prompt engineering & visual/video generation
Experience flow & interaction design
Coordination with visual designer, scenographer, and exhibition curator
The experience
Visitors encountered AI-generated projections layered across fabrics of varying scales, creating repeated, shifting reflections of the same imagery.
This fragmented visual echo embodied the persistence of collective trauma, where memories resurface in altered forms. Light, texture, and motion-triggered sequences shaped the space into an immersive journey from distance to confrontation.
Reflection 📌
This project let me experiment more freely with AI tools, from prompt engineering to visual/video generation, while physically building the exhibition.
Mapping the visitor journey, testing layouts, and iterating under tight constraints was incredibly fun and hands-on. The process not only fuelled my creativity but also reinforced the thrill of seeing ideas come to life in a real-world, immersive space.
